Cookie Party!

We had so much fun last night. I had 12 kids at my house for a cookie party. They all got to make their own cookies. Chocolate chip and Peanut Butter. They got to bring some home and they donated the rest to a organization called Ky's Cookies. Its a great organization that sends cookies to parents who have lost a child to remember then at Christmas time. Super Cute. When asked what was their favorite part they said cracking the eggs and using their hands to mix :) (yes they washed them) :)

I now pronounce you...Cardinals Fans!

Wow.... talk about fun! I had a wedding over the weekend that FredBird walked the beautiful bride down the isle. It was a lot of fun!

I finally got my website up and went live yesterday! I'm so excited! Its so...official! :) I got my cake room all geared up and ready to go and I got 2 more cake orders today! Woohoo. Good times.

Over the weekend I had a friend that wanted a cookie platter. Yes I do cookies too. The holidays are coming up. Let me know if I can do the baking for you. I also made football cookies for my sons football team. GO TITANS!

Wedding Day!

So, not the best picture in the world but the cake I made for Nejuan and Darren today was a lot of fun! I didn't realize how much room 150 cup cakes cake take up in a kitchen :) Nejuan and Darren wanted a simple but pretty wedding cake to celebrate their day. Although you can't really see, its blue and white with a white round cake on top. I hope they loved it as much as I loved making it. Thanks guys!

Cute cakes and cupcakes

So I was very excited to deliver my first referral cake today... you know the ones you do for friends and family...but this one booked off of a friend. I was really excited to start the chain of business out. I got to meet the cute little girl(s) this cake was for. They were so excited to see it. Thats 90% of the reason I do this. I love to make people happy with what I can create. I'm now going to bed because I have to be up bright and early to make my first WEDDING CAKE. I'm excited and nervous but I can't wait to see how it turns out. Pictures to come tomorrow!

Busy Weekend

I had a very busy baking weekend. It was a lot of fun and I think the cakes turned out great! One of them was a pudding filled Cardinals cap cake..Loved it! The other cake was a Pink Barbie cake..I was a little nervous about this one but it was adorable and even got a cake ordered froma guest at the party..so I got another one this weekend!! Then on top of that they got 60 cup cakes! My second order for the day was for a 40th birthday Party..They had cupcakes and placed it on the table in the shape of a 40...great idea! And last but not least was Missy birthday party...Another 30 cupcakes for her party. I loved my baking weekend and look forward to my 1st professional wedding cake this weekend! Cant wait to post pictures..coming soon!

Time to Plan

So, the next few weekends are going to be full of baking. This Sunday I have a baby shower cake, next weekend I have 2 child Birthday cakes and 60 cupcakes, the following weekend is a Wedding cake and the following is another Birthday Cake! I'm so excited to have all these cakes coming up!! I just bought a new cupcake book tonight and and sooo many ideas! I love to do it and I love to have others love them! Check back often! Lots of cakes coming up means lots of pictures of cakes coming up!

Hi! Welcome to my first blog! First, a little about myself. My name is Kelly Payne. I am recently married and have 2 wonderful children, DJ who is 11 and Ian who is 9. I grew up with a mother who always baked and I was right there with her in the kitchen. I have learned everything I know from her. Up until now I have just made cakes and baked goods for family events and friends birthdays.
